Sheila G’s Brownie Brittle

Do you love the crispy edges of a brownie? I always cut that part off and eat it first. I love that crispy crunchy taste. Well, thats what  Sheila G’s Brownie Brittle tastes like! I was so lucky to be able to try several packages of their delicious treat to sample.

From Sheila G’s Brownie Brittle website:

Like many brownie aficionados, Sheila is particularly fond of the crispy edges. In fact, on many an afternoon she would walk through the bakery gathering the brittle batter off the sides of the sheet pans as the brownies cooled in their racks. It had that same rich chocolate taste, but with an amazing crunch. That started her wondering: How could she create a whole pan of crunchy edges?  Well, lucky for us, she figured it out! Now you too can satisfy your sweet tooth in a snap with Sheila G’s Brownie Brittle!

My favorite was the Toffee Crunch.  Or, was it the Salted Carmel? Maybe the Mint Chocolate Chip? Oh heck, I love them all! They come in a resealable bag, so they won’t get stale if you don’t want to eat them all at once-like I might. The pieces are the equivalent  to a small cookie, though there are some smaller pieces as well. The crispy pieces taste like brittle and brownie mixed together. This brownie brittle doesn’t stick to your teeth, so it’s a great treat for all ages.

I started thinking, what would these be so delish on?  I decided to try the Toffee Crunch on some double chocolate cupcakes. What a perfect topping! A little crunchy addition to those moist cupcakes. I hate to say, but I ate three before dinner.  I bet these would be awesome on ice cream too.

I’m just saying…

You can easily eat the brownie brittle by itself  and be totally satisfied. Which is what I’m going to do for the rest of them. That way, I get my chocolate fix in without a lot of calories that all those cupcakes would be if I ate all of them.

Kids? Please eat those cupcakes, but don’t touch my Brownie Brittles!
