Are you a stay- at-home mom?
A lot of moms are choosing to stay home these days over paying the high cost of childcare. But for some, that doesn’t mean that they don’t still need some kind of income source to afford to stay home. While you should still budget first, it’s become easier to make money at home these days to achieve your dreams of staying home.
There’s so many ways to make money while staying home, but here are four ways that I do to make an income as a stay-at-home mom.
1. Offer a Service
This is a quick way to earn money. What did you do at your job? Think such services as graphic design, virtual assistant, or even learn how to be a coach. Unlike when you worked for someone else, being your own boss allows you to:
- Set your own schedule- what a life-savor for moms with little ones!
- Be the boss – Yes, I’m repeating that. You get to decide your rates, how many hours you work, and work with who you want.
- Have room for growth – decide how many clients you want and how big you want to get.

2. Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is a very popular for a lot of people working at home-especially for moms. It’s an easy way to start making money, just start a blog in a popular niche and sign up for affiliate programs.
If you’re unsure what affiliate marketing is, it’s when you promote other people’s products or services and earn a commission from it.
3. Create a Product
Creating a product doesn’t have to be a physical one. Digital products such as planners, ebooks, printables, etc. will give you the most profit. It’s awesome because once you make it, you can sell it over and over again. It also has the potential for passive income.
But, if you are a crafty person, you can open a Etsy shop and sell your products on there. My oldest daughter has an Etsy shop and is making a decent income!
4. Find a Stay at Home Job
Many moms find a stay at home mom job. Maybe you don’t want to start your own business, but still work from home. There are many job boards that offer telecommuting from home. If you have writing abilities, you can apply for writing jobs too. I recommend starting a blog and get some writing samples together first. There are some women who make more money writing than they did when they worked a regular job.
