I hate bug spray. I hate the smell of it; even those DIY bug repellents. I’d rather stay inside while everyone else hangs outside. It’s just not worth all the bites and misery-or worth spraying stinky stuff on me.

Our Midwest summers are just terrible for mosquitoes. But must I have to cover myself in gunk? How about breathing in it from those chemical sprays?

I was so happy when I was offered a Stinger Mosquito Repellent Lantern for review!

Stinger mosquito

What a cute little lantern! It’s very simple in it’s design and is easy to set up. This runs on batteries that are included, and load a cartridge using powerful plant-based, all-natural active ingredients which smells a lot like citronella. The power switch has three settings: off, lantern on, lantern and fan on. The lantern can rest on any flat surface or be hung. This offers protection for a 15×15 foot area.

I like that the lantern offers lighting and the bug-repelling aroma is something I can handle. It’s very effective, too. You don’t need to wait until nighttime to use it. I like to take it with me when I sit out front to get fresh air while reading or working on the computer.

Save yourself from toxic chemicals and pick up one of these and enjoy the great outdoors, naturally!
