To monitize my blogs, I use affiliate programs that stay in the niche that I promote. I love these programs, because they are one of the easiest ways to make money with your blog. When you don’t have (or want) your own products, you can just apply for some affliates you like, and place their links on your blog and get a commission when someone buys.
Affiliate programs work well for product reviews to have the chance to make something on top of promoting a product first hand. if you write a niche blog, affiliate programs are very easy to incorporate into your topic.
Here are some affiliate programs that I have found profitable:
After finding the programs that best fits your needs, all you have to do is add the code to your posts, or even place banners on your sidebar.
Tips On Marketing Your Affiliate Links:
- When looking for affiliate programs, look for brands that people trust. People might buy easier if they trust the brand.
- Don’t just base it on what the program pays. If it isn’t the right product for your readers, you won’t make sales anyway. Example: If you write about fashion, you wouldn’t want to try to sell your readers electronics.
- Keep it simple. You don’t want to sound like a salesperson to your readers. Be genuine and if you can try the product for yourself, do so.
- Don’t overload. I did this when I first started. It was fun signing up for tons of affiliate products and dream about making a bunch of money. This becomes a turnoff to readers. Pick a few products you believe in and promote them heavily. I just got approved for Target’s program (EXCITED). I love Target and naturally recommend shopping there.
