The safety of yourself and your employees while in the office space should be your number one priority. Make sure that you are following all of the relevant health and safety procedures. Even simple things like encouraging your employees to keep their workspaces clear can make a lot of difference. Of course keeping the office clean shouldn’t solely be your employee’s responsibility. Not only will this create a cleaner environment but it will also encourage your employees to do the same.
Are you using space efficiently?
Every so often, you should take a good, hard look at your office space and ask yourself how well you’re using the space afforded to you. The needs of any given business are always going to be different so don’t assume that just because it’s something that you’ve done in the past, that it’s definitely going to work just as well. Are your employees cramped in too tightly together? Then you might want to think about trying to open up the space in some way. People often struggle to focus when they’re wedged together like sardines in a can. But you might have the opposite problem. If employees are too separate, then they’re going to find it difficult to communicate with each other. It’s about finding the right balance between using the space efficiently as well as making it the best possible work environment.
Do you have all the equipment that you need?
